HOMEMADE MULTIGRAIN BUNS

MULTIGRAIN BUNS 🍞

1/2  Cup Milk

2      tbs Brown Sugar

1      tsp Salt

1      tbs Butter

1      Egg

1/2  Cup Luke-warm Water

1     tbs Yeast or 1 Package

3     Cups Flour

1     Cup Multigrain (or 12 Grain) Cereal

Heat first 4 ingredients in a small pot. Remove from heat right before it starts to boil. Pour into large bowl, let cool and set aside. Add 1 egg beaten and a pinch of brown sugar to your 1/2 cup of luke-warm water. Gradually add yeast as you stir warm water mixture. Set aside to let rise for about 10 min. Combine milk and water mixture together and add some of the flour. Toss in multigrain and gradually add the rest of the flour. When the dough starts to get too difficult to stir start kneading and add a bit more flour while doing so. Knead for about 10-15 min. until dough is smooth and elastic. Put dough in a bowl covered with a tea towel and let rise for 45 min. until double in size. Take dough out and flatten on hard surface. Cut into 8 equal pieces, shape into balls than flatten to 2 cm thick. Place on greased pan and let rise for about 30 min. covered with tea towel. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Bake in oven for 20 min. Let the buns cool down a bit & enjoy!
