This year for our son Matthew's birthday we weren't able to have a big party, so making his day at school extra special was a must! He's a huge fan of anything superhero or Ninja Turtles and it was an obvious choice to use as my inspiration to make this fun superhero lunch for his big day at school.

Superhero

Birthday Lunch

The Hulk face was made on a halved kiwi and decorated with candied eyes and black icing tube. The muscles were made with baby cucumber.

The Captain America Pinwheel Shields were made with salami and spinach wraps. Adjacent box is blueberries and cut-out (by hand) strawberries.

Thor's Hammer 'Mjolnir' was made with pretzel sticks and cheese wrapped in tin foil.

Cupcake was made at home and topped w/ Spider-Man 'icing decoration' and edible '5' candy. Both were purchased from Michael's.
